i knew i loved photography from a very young age. WITH film point-and-shoot cameraS scavenged from thrift stores, i captured moments everywhere i went from field trips to family vacations, later enjoying the art of the selfie in all forms.

now, my passion for photography resides in the form of film portraits. while digital photography has its own place in my heart, especially for practicality purposes, receiving an email from the film lab with my recently-developed film photos makes my heart skip a beat like nothing else.

i was born in houston and have lived here my whole life— i attended HSPVA, OR THE HIGH SCHOOL FOR PERFORMING AND VISUAL ARTS, AND graduated from the university of houston, where i studied communication and graphic design. the city inspires my work with its urban sprawl and southern hospitality.

LIKE HOUSTON, I THINK mY WORK is moody, funky and cinematic. THOUGH I CAN SHOOT ANYTHING IN FRONT OF ME WHEN STRUCK, PORTRAITURE IS THE MEDIUM CLOSEST TO MY HEART. I LOVE CONCOCTING AN IMAGE SO GIRLY, INTIMATE AND FUN, ONLY SOMEONE WHO SEES THEMSELF IN THE IMAGE WILL UNDERSTAND IT.
